The Great Forest
The grundleputs make their home in the Great Forest. While not the largest or most fierce of its creatures, they are the ones entrusted with its protection.
This mission was laid on them by King Grundlegrass, who presides over the entire forest from his court in the High Wood.

… there was a magnificent forest filled with majestic trees of every kind, from the mighty Sitka spruce and swaying pines to the tiniest newborn maple saplings. Its meadows were filled with lush vegetation, and everywhere shimmering streams and rippling brooks fed into the Great River on its southern border. The forest continually sang with new life and contentment as forest creatures of every kind flourished and raised their young. It was the most beautiful forest there ever was, and its woodlands were vast.
